The Connections new site
Learn about all our website updates and how they can help you

Over the last 6 months or so, we’re been working behind the scenes to make The Connection’s new website work for everyone.

All the changes you see are based on feedback from the people we support, our staff and site users. We hope it will make our website easier to use while highlighting our commitment to ending rough sleeping in London by empowering people sleeping rough and following their lead in their own recovery.

The Menu

We’ve completely redesigned our website’s menu to be easier to navigate and better reflect how we work with people.

As you’ll see, connections are at the centre of everything we do. We get to know each person we work with, and we stick with people when things get hard. You’ll also be able to see how this has changed people’s lives by looking at our impact and success stories.

We’ve also made it easier than ever to support our work and provide lots of different ways for you to get involved.

You’ll also see that there’s new options above our main menu.

For People Sleeping Rough

Our main priority is to support people sleeping rough in Westminster. This guides all our work, including what goes onto our website. That’s why we’ve added a whole new section dedicated to supporting people sleeping rough.

Before coming to our centre, people can now find out more about the support we offer and how we operate. This can ease anxiety about coming to our centre for the first time. It also creates transparency and helps set realistic expectations. This means we can create a sense of trust from the start of our relationships with people.

We’ve also made it easy to contact us by editing our get help page to clearly show how you can get in touch in a number of different ways so people can select the best option for them.

Finally, we know people need support after we close our doors so we’ve provided a list of alternative homelessness services people can use outside of our opening hours. This also includes services for people outside of the Westminster/London area.

Accessibility on The Connection’s New Website

It’s important to The Connection that everyone can use our website, access support, and do their bit to end rough sleeping in London. That’s why we’ve made a few changes to improve our website’s accessibility.

We’ve also added more images, graphics, and icons across our website to make content easier to understand.
